“I Am Here”  was inspired by my desire to heal from my accident which had occurred only six months before production.  On April 22, 2011, I was hit by an Amtrak while filming a freight train for another project.  In many ways, my near death experience while making art gave me the permission to call myself an artist.  This film reflects my journey back to life and creativity.

I AM HERE was made, not only to get me “back on the horse”, as it were, but to show that life inspires art and art heals trauma.
